A number of customers are mentioning that they are getting an R6034 error message many times when starting TurboCAD. We have determined that this is caused by having an incorrect version of ATL80.dll in one of the following locations:
C:/Windows
C:/Windows/System32
C:/Windows/Wow6432 (64-bit systems only)
For the moment, if you experience this error, please look for atl80.dll in one or more of those locations; any instances of it that you find should be renamed to "wrong_atl80.dll". This will effectively hide that version of the dll, allowing Windows' normal "Side by side" mechanism to locate the desired version of atl80 from the winsxs folders.
After renaming the file, try TurboCAD again. If the error persists, look for other copies of atl80.dll immediately under the C:/Windows folder, and rename them as well.
IMPORTANT: Do not change the names of any versions of atl80.dll that exist in C:/Windows/Winsxs and its subfolders.
IMSI is currently working on a permanent solution so that any misplaced copies of this dll will no longer trigger these error messages.
