I recently had the pop up to say that the update was ready to be downloaded so I downloaded it and installed OK. Before I started I had TC Pro Platinum now it is Basic Edition can any one tell me what has happened  ???

Maybe you have to re-enter Platinum Pro Keys if that is the issue... other wise download the full package and re-install.

Re entering the activation key only results in the prompt that your version is now fully active but it still says basic.

I guess we know how you will be spending the rest of the day...  >:(

See the link in the updates section for the full version -- and get your keys out...

It does not take that long...

>:( Oh..for..crying..out..loud..IMSI!

Pop-up update to TC19 just failed because it was looking for a .msi installer that was in a TEMP folder!!

To wit: C:\DOCUME~1\JLT\LOCALS~1\Temp\pft1B8A.tmp\

Please tell your developers that TMP folders contain things that are TEMPORARY (временный) and therefore you may NOT assume that they are going to always be there in the future. I clean my temp files out regularly as a matter of practice, and many troubleshooting or maintenance software packages do this as well.

This is STUPID, amateurish, user-abusive and costly in terms of the time spent having to uninstall, reinstall, patch, reauthorize, etc etc etc. Your developers are taking shortcuts to save money, but you're likely to lose more money in future sales when you persist in putting out flakey and user-hostile software.

I think I'll just quit. IMSI, how about just take me off your mailing list, because I don't think I'm going to be buying upgrades in the future.
до свидания и удачи
