Hi, I posted these animations which were created in Anilab5 in the other forum http://forums.turbocad.com/index.php/topic,6177.msg35691.html#msg35691 and was wondering if anyone had success with creating a fluid representation of the shadows given by the sun during the day using luminance's. For example:When lights are used in an animation the shadows move with the position of the light. The only thing I can think of is to keep creating luminance's for each altitude and azimuth change.  Thanks for any input on this.

Luminance won't animate properly (if at all). Still don't know why, I asked a similar question 6 years ago (see shadows in attached). Sure would lift the quality of our animations if it did ???

Dean,

on the same subject, don't forget to take a look at this tool . . .

http://www.bcitool.com/SunPositioner.htm

. . . which still appears to work in v18.

You can design without engineering, but you cannot engineer without design.
Using Win 10 with Designer 2016/2017 and TurboCAD Pro. Plat. 2018/2019 + Lightworks (64-bit versions) + AnimationLab 5.2.
