"Like this" property...

When setting the properties of something, I would love to be able to point to an existing entity choose Like this, and have the something inherit the properties of the selected entity.
For example, I have text entities of different size in my drawing, some bold, some underlined, and I want to enter some more text like one I used some time ago. I currently have to choose the one I want to match, note its properties, then copy them into the properties of the new text I want to write. Much nicer to select the text tool, open properties choose Like this and then point to some text with the properties I want.

I think Format Painter can do some of what you asked.

When creating a Template, setting up Presets (Styles) ahead of time can be very useful. Just pick your Preset from the list on the Property toolbar.

I believe Don C. brought up a similar request to create a Preset from an existing objects Properties.

Why not just copy the text you like to the new location and edit it to read what it needs to be?

Text was chosen as an example. Other uses of the Like this facility would be: copying the attributes of a dimension, type and scale of hatching, style and colour of lines, material, etc..
