Adding new fonts

Does any one know how to load new fonts into TC 17. I recently downloaded architectural fonts and want to be able to use them in TC, they are .ttf files. I copied them to the font file in TC containing the shx fonts, but they are not working. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I am using ver 22 Deluxe.  The font I want to use is listed in my Windows Font folder but the extension is *.otf.  It appears only *.ttf fonts get loaded into TurboCad.  Is there a way to use a *.otf font file?  Or a way to convert *.otf to *.ttf?

In case ver22 is wrong reference, I am using 2015Deluxe 64bit, but it also says it's ver22.

I have found the solution. Open fonts in control panel, click file, click install new fonts, select fonts to add, click ok. Restart TC and fonts appear.

Post #1 from Bob Burgess is correct. The new font wants to be installed thru 'Fonts' in Control Panel. After saving and restarting the computer the new font will show in TurboCad.
Which version of Windows are you using?

There's so much to learn and not much time left to learn it.

Hello, thanks for quick response.  Surprised I didn't get notified of new reply.  Glad I came back to say I solved my problem in a round about way.  I still cannot access *.otf file fonts, but I was fortunate to find the font on the internet with a *.ttf file.  So I deleted the *.otf font file and installed *.ttf font file and everything is working well.  Of course managed fonts through Windows Vista Home Premium, Control Panel / Fonts.  By the way, the *.otf font file worked in all my other software including Word and OpenOffice.

Hello, thanks for quick response.  Surprised I didn't get notified of new reply.

When you are creating a new message, there is the link "Attachments and other options" below the bottom left corner of the message editing box.

Click that and then click to place a check mark in the "Notify me of replies." flag.

Alternatively, if you don't have anything new to add, you could click to Modify one of your previous messages and do the same thing.
