Feathering & Ordering

Once there was a technique called “feathering” and surely you know that, I don’t
recall seeing that in any TurboCAD examples.  If a cube was using that feature the lower half may gradually fade away (disappear) and your able to see though the cube.  How might this be done in TC using the ground fog but matching the same background color?

How can the sequencing (order) of operations change having the same cube for instance, with a through hole -at its midpoints- and shelled.

If the shelling is made after the hole, a material wall surrounds the hole throughout the cube’s length, however if the shelling is formed before the hole that material wall doesn’t exist within the cube’s insides.
