Faint Lines in JPG's (Supressed Hidden Line Views)

I want the best Suppressed Hidden Line views possible to import into MS Word

!'ve been doing a "Save as" "TurboCAD for Windows' JPG, at a couple of different resolutions the default (800 X600) and 2000 x 1500. The results are giving me faint images.

Can someone suggest some specific steps to take to get better results?  I have also been sending them to Photoshop to massage them. Not sure what the best mode to use is, either.

Also not sure what dpi to use. The default is 72 but that sounds like something for the web only, and I would expect something higher would be best for Word.

Comments appreciated.

Make sure your lines in the drawing have a weight of about .012" and then print to third party PDF at 300dpi. Open the PDF in Photoshop, save to gif format (for strictly line drawings) or jpg for rendered images. Insert into Word.

EDIT: Sample Doc attached.

Don, that stage isn't necessary with Acrobat (Reader & Pro) Use the snapshot tool to save a screen grab and paste directly into Word.

Harry, I think you'll need to experiment with different pen widths as the final line width is proportional to the scale of the image in Word.

It is needed if you want to resize up and you don't want a screen capture.

Don't save line work in JPG format (its main use is photo's), use something like the GIF or PNG Save formats in TurboCAD. As Don mentioned, increasing the Line Width's will help matters also.
