Inspector Bar goes missing

Sometimes when I open an existing file or, even more irritating. the Inspector Bar goes missing and the only way I have of getting back is to reload my config file from the Customise menu.  Is there and easier way?

I found one possible solution was to tick the Inspector Bar on the Pop up Toolbar section of customise.  Does not always work and sometimes that goes missing too.

No - it is my Inspector Bar not Status Bar that has gone walkabout.

If there is a to be a fix, how will be applied to my 2018 and 2018 PP versions as normally your fixes only apply to the latest version which I am unlikely to upgrade to 2019 as the cost is not warranted by what is new.

Do you open/run multiple instances of TurboCAD, each with a single drawing,
or a single instance of TurboCAD, with several drawings open?

In the past, running multiple instances of TurboCAD would corrupt files related to the layout of the UI when the program was shut down. It's best to run only one instance of TurboCAD.

It can be useful to set a SEKE to bring up the IB, it might help with your problem, Colin.  I float the bar in the drawing window to easily close it off and get more drawing window space when I want it (and get enough width for the data boxes, which my smallish screens can't always display across the bottom of the screen), and use the hot key to invoke it when it's needed again.

John R - I tend to only have one file open at a time but given my love of great detail in models they do tend to being over 100MB.  On occasion, I have a second file open to transfer back detail from previous versions of the model that I have deleted or messed up by mistake.  The missing IB happens unexpectedly under both circumstances
.
Murray - I just love the idea but have no idea how to write a SEKE

Colin, select view|toolbars, go to the RH-most "keyboard" tab, topmost category at the top of the left-hand is "all commands", scroll down to Inspector Bar, click in the entry box that says "Press new shortcut key", choose your hot key, press the key so that it appears in that box, then click on the "assign" button above, then close the toolbar dialogue box.  Easy.

Murray - yes easy but one small problem as when I scrolled down All Commands I could not find Inspector Bar.  Is it called something else?

It was not in the listbox below it either.

Colin,

If you're lucky it should be in the same place as mine.
You know how much ISMI loves to confuse us  ;D

Dean - as you say IMSI never make it easy but you have and it works.

Murray - thanks for the steer.

IMSI - wouldn't it be nice if you could ever put this kind of stuff in the helpfile or manuals?

An update which I do not understand.

After a couple of weeks, as the solutions described below just emptied themselves and had to be repeated.  Who deleted the fix?
