I can't get a arch design which I saved as a DXF file to open up in another program ( illustrator).  Keep getting the message file corrupted.  After works completed in illustrator it is going to a water jet cutting program which also suppose to accept DXF files.  Have any suggestions why a simple drawing in turbocad can't be exported?  Am able to export from illustator into Turbocad. Thanks

saving it as dwg,and 2000 version could change it.yes i realize you want dxf.but see if the water jet will accept dwg.usually some will read both.and if corrupt it is more likely is.When jumping around like that this happens.I seen it before.Save drawing as TCW.than another file as a dxf should work, avoid the Illustrator if possible.Than double check it Autocad Viewer. These steps work for me in the past. After I clean up the drawing.
