but did not write that I do not know how to solve a specific problem with „one“ polyline.
In file is not one - there are 40 rooms on one floor. The number of floor is 8. And the number of houses is 3. In one file may by problem whit 40x8x3 = 960 !!! polylines.
Written instructions work, but definitely not good idea. Snaps are here, but not one, but three in „one“ place. If you want snap exactly, then you must zoom in (about 10 seconds to change the display from 5000mm to 5mm - about 1000x zoom to see what snap – left, center or right?). And then the same time zoom out to work with another polyline).
I do not recommend using the world scale line to anyone. This is big source any problems. Do you just try polyline (with world scale line thickness) trim and / or sweep? :-)
Line thickness scales when changing file type (dwg) do not work quite correctly. Especially if they are used in blocks and in the drawing there are 100 different ones. And ...the blocks must still remain blocks. You will manually repair the line thicknesses in individual blocks for tens of hours, because unfortunately the automatic procedure is not.
Use any object with world thickness line? For me I can say :Never !
Like ppm - can not create a closed polyline. You can, but any of the corners should be small arcs. If there are only a few ppm in the drawing ... then OK. But if they 3000 in the file? Most of the time you just sit at a PC and waiting to redraw the image on display. Thanks. No :-(
PS: It is primarily about productivity.
Better solution: select polyline - explore - join polyline – insert new entity mark on the new polyline. Maybe it's slower to change for a few seconds. The overall result will be several times faster (no zoom, exactly, no snap on C or C+0,05 or C-0,05, next … you can polyline modify. Either way: 40x8x3 x 10 sec = about 3 hours. About 3 hours of utterly unnecessary work ! And that's just because the program does not work right.
By the way … I found the problem by accident. I was looking for a simple alternative solution for something different. What (again) does not work properly!
The right question is? Why explode slab to get a polyline? And next from the polyline get information about area? Why not get information about area directly from slab? That would be the best!
Because it does not work! At least in CZ language version of the turbocad. Automatic „Area“ is not available in Property Set Definition - for slab. Only an area like "Region" (rough and clean). The result is corect. But in other units. Do not tell .... you must to set scape unit in drawing setup ... IT SET! And its set correctly! The results from „Area“ is "m2" (on polyline), the results area like „Region“ is "sq mm" (on slab). I can not paste in drawing information that the room is great "35.650.000 sq mm." The used unit is "m2" and not "sq mm". So many numbers and letters do not fit into the drawing in the room. And if so, overlay others information on drawing. It just can not.
I have written it here several times. I like TurboCad very much. But I want everything to work properly. Example: I work with TC 10 hours, but 4 hours of that I'm looking for alternative treatments and procedures because something is not working properly. So actually I only work for 6 hours :-( :-(
