In my day job - a little off TurboCAD

I have been using SolidWorks - since 2001 and since that time I have used DesignCAD and then into the darkside (thanks Mauritz) with TurboCAD (both for my private work). My day job, we have been investigating using (heading into a black hole!) CREO (the design engineers use it and have done for many years - Pro-E) so it was worth the exercise for the toolroom to use CREO. My work with TurboCAD has taught me many things, the biggest is to completely shut off from what ever CAD system you were using - sometimes hard! Anyway, I have spent 1 1/2 weeks now with CREO and I am surprised at how well I have picked it up. Looking at CREO and TurboCAD it is very very similar and this has made the transition so much easier. Both TurboCAD and CREO make you think about what you are to do, I plan how I am going to proceed in a CAD design and this makes life so much simpler with less chance of models falling over.

I am still sticking with TurboCAD for my private work!
