You can also easily access the configuration files in the Config folder by going to the "Tools / Customize—›Options" page and click on the "Browse" button. This will open to the correct Config folder in Windows Explorer. Configurations consist of two files with the same name, but different extensions; XCFG and XML. If you have created a custom configuration, you can copy its two files to another computer or a newer version's Config folder.
When creating a custom configuration, save to a custom name. Do not select and save to one of the supplied configurations. Assuming you don't have a custom configuration, select the current name in the "Save In" list and overwrite it with your custom name. Now click on the "Save In" button. You now have a custom configuration. As you make changes to your interface, you can click on the "Save In" button to update the files.
The layout of your toolbars, menus, palettes and hotkeys are contained in these files. After an update or a reinstall, you may need to reload your configuration. Select it from the "Load From" list, then click on the "Load From" button.
