Automatic filling in of title block

I may have been down this track earlier and I am sorry if I have done so, I perhaps cannot see the wood for the trees. Filling in a title block on a drawing, is there a way to automate this? If I save a drawing as a File Name: "Left hand Purple Handled Screwdriver" drawn by "Me" and a date of "Ides of March", can I automate this by creating each as an attribute linked to the save menu while saving the drawing or not? Or do I need to fill in details the long way?

I have attached my drawing template.

Thanks team.

Don Cheke posted a tip on how to do this.  Never tried it, myself, but it looks simple enough to implement, so long as you have Microsoft Word.

Thank you Jeff. I as soon as I read this it was right there and can recall this. It would be great if we could as we save the file, the data entered into the Summary Info, could be inserted directly to our title block. Once again thank you.

I believe you can also use block attributes.   Some time ago I created a movie and posted it here on the forum.  You guys might try searching for that..

Seems to me you can still do it, but it would take multiple Word files.

I believe you can also use block attributes.

That is how I have my title block set up. Just fill in each attribute when I drag it into the paper space. The attributes are also easily edited by the selection info pallet.

Steve,

The only software reference I've seen regarding your request is  MS Word's object insertion that changes to the file name upon saving from a template.
