Turbocad is not very good compared to competing products at detecting errors in models. One should be able to detect errors early in the process.

What sorts of errors?  In models produced in TC, or imported?  I agree with your comments about stls, if the programmers and promoters are going to claim stl output and conversion, a file output from TC ought to be able to be plugged into an RP machine without post processing.  What other kinds?

Both.

I have sent SAT files and STL files produced by TC to several prototypers who say they are simply caca.

Some of these are fairly simple parts.

If doing A-B creates a bad part, then TC should say it's bad and tell you what you need to do to fix it.
