You have to go to the folder that contains the symbol file, then open & edit it. You can go to "Options / Symbol Libraries" to find the folder address. A better way may be to right-click on the symbol thumbnail, then a tooltip will pop up with the address to the file. There's a limited amount of space, so the address may be incomplete.

Another way — "File / Open" and select "TurboCAD 12" in the "Look in" list. Double-click on "Symbols" and probably "My Symbols". Look for your symbols in there.

Hay John.  I was hoping it would be like blocks where you have an EC option. Anyway, I edited the symbol and saved the changes.  But, when I dragged the symbol over to the drawing area it hadn't changed.  What did I miss. Mike.

re: …it hadn't changed.  What did I miss?

I don't know.

I was able to replicate your problem. I edited and saved a symbol. When I dragged it out, it was still the same. I switched to another library, then back. The thumbnail showed the changes and now the Symbol dragged out with the new changes.

So, switch back-n-forth between libraries to Update, then bring in the Symbol.

I think you will need to "update" the symbol library by re loading it, rigth click in a free area inside the library palette and choose reload library, then it will go back and check/ set the symbol to standard value ( all symbols in that folder )
When open, TC load it in to memory i guess, so it should go quicker for insert a symbol.

Or at least, in V 17 > 21, i dont know in V 12.5

Hi Tor,

Version 12 had a different palette for Symbols and was discontinued in V15. See Symbols Palette in the Wiki as opposed to the current Library palette.

The old palette had zero options when compared to today's Library palette.
