I've been drawing this model airplane and am having some problems.  I saved it and now it won't re-open again.  TC crashes when I try.  I actually got to this same point on the model yesterday and then had to start over because the file wouldn't open, and now I'm having the same problem again.

I was wondering if someone could try opening the file with a newer version of Turbocad (I'm using TC 12 Pro).  If you can, maybe re-save it as a DXF or something, or if you have any other ideas I would be open to them too.  I don't know what's wrong as this has never happened before, and now it's happened two days in a row.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Thanks.  So you were able to open it fine?  I wonder what the problem was.  Maybe it's time to upgrade to the new version.

Ok guys, I'm having the same problem again.  I don't know what's going on, but it won't open.   >:(  Could someone help me again?  (The problematic file is attached.)

Here it is in .dwg format. Your file opened fine in my v16, but not in my v12 installation. (It might have opened eventually, but after about five minutes I got tired of waiting. Don't know what the problem is.)

Thanks a lot.  I realized I could download the TC16 demo, and V16 indeed opened the file without a problem.  I think I might upgrade to V16 just because from time to time V12 does something weird and frustrating like this...hopefully some of those bugs have been rid of by now.

Going in either direction from v12 is an UPgrade, IMO. That version was a dog.

Just wondering, what are your thoughts on V14?  I found it online for $150, whereas the upgrade from V12 to V16 is $300.  Would I be better off upgrading to the newest version?

I don't really need any more features than what are available in V12, but I want more stability.

V14 is/was a wonderful version, IMO.

Thanks for your input.  I'll probably be going that route then.

I agree with Don that v14 was excellent.
