Should 'Edit tool | Divide Segment ' Need snaps off?

I was trying to divide a line, following the tutorial:

* Select line
* Edit tool
* Right click -> divide segment

Nothing happened. No error message, no message about snap placement ... just nothing got divided. The video tutorial doesn't mention turning off snaps, and it looks like the snaps are on. But on mine it didn't work until the snaps were off. I can sort of understand if the node points that are generated need to end up at snap locations, but wouldn't it give a warning?

Just wondering.

Thanks,
Mark

I'd call it a BUG.

I couldn't divide with a running snap on and I also couldn't add a node. When no snaps were running, I could do both. I still can't delete a node through the Local menu with or without snaps; I have to use the Ctrl key to add/remove nodes.
