Hello Folks:

Just upgraded to V19!!!!

I don not like some things.. Like the limited icon sizes.. I like big!

I am puzzled on the load and save resolution under the options tab. There is a choice for me to go to a higher resolution(s) under t19, but tcad will not allow me to change this. What is this exactly?

Workspace is where you would save your screen layout settings.
when you set up your tool bars the way you like them, you can save them.

Underneath the save in box type in a name for your settings and click on save in.
Then you can re-load your setting at any time by finding your settings name in the drop down menu under the load from bar.

Someone else here will be able to explain this better than I.

Below the workspace box underneath "other" is a button size slider.
If you drag this to the right it will increase the size of your icons.

There have been some users who have asked for the old 32 pixel icons, but I think you're stuck with 24 pixel being the maximum size.

The "V19 pro 1280x1024" configuration is for users who may be using a screen resolution of the same or similar size. The tools are laid out to fit within that space. It will not change your screen resolution.

I think you lost me john... I have a 22" monitor, and the system res is set at 1680 x 1050.. Do I need to do anything? Looks okay.. just wondering why the choice was forced to be less under this tab.

The resolution of your system is neither changed nor forced to a lower res than you´ve set up for your system. As John pointed out the "resolution" just refers to what the workspace layout (!) has been optimized for.

Ahhh.. Got it... In that case why can't I choose the V19 pro 1280 x 1024 format?   Always reverts back to the 1024 x 768...   Hmnm...

re: …Always reverts back to the 1024 x 768…

After selecting the "v19 Pro 1280 x 1024" Workspace from the Load From list, did you click on the "Load From" button to apply that workspace? Once applied, both Load & Save should read "v19 Pro 1280 x 1024".

re: …so I also saved after that.. Now I need to redo my tool bars.

I do hope that you saved under a custom name and not "v19 Pro 1280 x 1024". The first Update/Repair/Reinstall and that workspace will be be restored to its original settings, your changes — gone. Highlight and overwrite the current name with a new name. This doesn't affect the highlighted workspace, it just creates a new name. Click on the "Save in" button. Updates, etc. won't harm your custom named workspace.
