Update to 19 pro plat

Dumb question--

I just received  19.0.26.1 download.
What do I do with it?
Do I have to save my files like an upgrade and reinstall?
Where did it get saved?

I was away from the machine during the download and did not see any messages other than the download. A few Instructions would not be a bad idea.

Thanx
Ed

Are sure it downloaded.I get the feeling it didn't download.Normally its a traceable thing, try download again and send it to the download folder of windows. Also never lose or delete the installer EXE. file could back it up to disk. You'll need it later

Installed my update with no problems.
I just don't know where it downloaded the update file on my system.

It's not in my download folder so I guess I will have to search for it.
I would like to save a copy of the update for future use.

Much improved default desktop theme.
I can see the icons properly again and still keep the dark background  ;D

It may take a while to download.  There should be a little 19 medallion in the notification area of the start bar.  If you hover over it it should bring up the notification box.  If you hit the x in that window it stopped the download.  Restart TurboCAD to resume.

When you start TCad 19 you may briefly see a notice come up on the lower right. You can then click on the "Download Update" Link.

It would be nice to know what has been fixed/improved for us.. ???

Not even a topic started in the "Updates and Patches" notifying it?  ???

Like the new update checker/downloader popup......a nice "notes about this update" button would be cool  ;D

Take is back - their is info if you click on the red update number http://www.turbocad.com/AutoUpdates/Build190261/tabid/2036/Default.aspx  :o

I started v19 Pro Platinum and didn't see any update message.  I also Checked the Help Menu.  The "Upgrade..." menu option is ghosted and the "TurboCAD on the Web -> TurboCAD Updates" takes me to TurboCAD's main web page www.turbocad.com.

Is it because an update to Pro Platinum is not available yet?

Johnny,

Try starting a new drawing i.e from template..... this "makes" the update window show in the bottom RH corner of the screen

The updater hides itself after a few seconds..... to show it goto "show hidden icons" to see the downloading progress etc..

Thanks Darrel,

It's in the windows notification icon list...   I had to show the icon notificaitons before I could start the download.

I probably missed it this morning.  Even after TurboCAD was shut down the notification was still there.

Thanks for the picture, it pointed me to the right place.

Thanks for the feed back WillR.I guess they haven't applied the changes to the trial versions yet?Seems down load time is to long.Wish there another option to download the update such as before in the older versions.I would think it would be faster,at least for me in the past it was just a few minutes. :-\

Thanks Darrel
Glad to see Rip posted in update board.I never cared for my updates to go on as automatic such as Windows can do.Microsoft sends all kind updates that are unnecessary in my case I normally weed out what I don't want and update on demand instead let them run automatically.

Okay, so the update window showed when I opened TC, but I was opening it to make a quick copy and I was in a hurry, so I hit "x" to close it, figuring it would come up later, Now it doesn't reappear . . .
And it is not hiding in hidden icons.

Where did it go?
