Someone may have tested this, but I just now took a cursory look. The symbols I dragged in are 3D, but are selected as a 2D object. The one problem I find is that every Symbol comes in on its own Workplane, not the World Workplane. So they all had to be placed on the WWP. PITA.

Next problem, I don't see a way to apply Materials without exploding the "1st Pricing Object", which turns it into a selection of Lines and Polylines containing Thickness and is no longer a 1st Pricing Object; thus, no Schedule.

I guess you would place these in the Blocks palette and place them in a Wall with the Opening tool. This gives you a Height option when being placed.

I would probably create my own Doors and Windows than use this tool.
