Hi guys,

I am doing some mechanical drafting and have been exporting 3d IGES files for manufacture to a company whose using unigraphics and autodesk inventor.

they touched up a 3d file and returned it in IGES, I saved as TCW but now it has heaps of small acis solids.

A. is there anyway I can select the whole lot and boolean it to gether in one go?.

B. is it possible they can draft objects using there software and transfer in a format that I  can still udate it as an ACIS solid, as I re-model the existing parts due to the complexity (lofting etc).

Any ideas would be apreciated.

thanks

The tool shown in the attached screenshot will do the job -- but I don't recall whether  (a) it's included in the Out Of the Box version or (b) it was provided only to the Beta team as a preview of upcoming goodies. It IS available in v18 OOB.

re: …looks like Beta team only.

If you don't have "SDK / Boolean / MultiAdd_VB6", you can use the Shift key.

Activate the 3D Add tool,
Hold the Shift key and select the objects you want to add together,
then select "Finish Selection" from the Local menu or Inspector Bar.
This option has been available since V16 (Deluxe—Platinum).
