Incredibly Detailed Ford 427 SOHC Engine

Take a look at this engine model from Google's 3D Warehouse. Can you imagine the time involved in modeling this? The assembly is a 3 part download and TurboCAD 18.2 opens the files without a hiccup. With Redsdk enabled you can work your way around the model with ease too. I ran a few quick Raytrace Full renders with the stock materials to show the admirable modeling that went into this.

Some of the users on the SketchUcation forum are rendering the engine with various SketchUp plugins and I thought it might be fun to see what some of us TurboCAD or Renditioner users could come up with.

Use these links to get the model. There is a reference circle present in all three parts, so assembling the engine is a snap. Once you've opened the files you'll find the materials in a category named "SKP".

That's awesome Mike...have you posted it in the Renditioner forum gallery as well? I don't see it there.

You too Brad, well done...great idea.

Thanks Dave, posted today, sorry not done earlier but I was on a fairly heavy weight loss schedule consisting of what we call the winter vomiting bug over this side of the pond.  3 kg over 3 days and about 2kg since.  Very effective though and probably gives Atkins and the others something to chew over, pardon the puns.

Ta chaps, a weight off my mind for sure.  Sorry, another pun but the diet certainly got a bit of help there.
