Hello All,

Tweaked Brad's render settings and luminance settings in these.......added "eye" to the luminance to show up certain details....

Using all 8 threads available!........didn't crash once doing these.........would be nice to have more feedback when rendering, especially when saving as a jpeg etc........I have to look in task manager to know when TC has finished!.........We should really have a pause/cancel windowand estimated time left when rendering.....maybe a future improvement....?

Daz nice work, what was the render time and setting? He made it through the GI controller or Bounce and gather settings? And such luminance? Thanks for sharing.

I think if you will use the sky light with intense power
the effect will be more impressive.
and by the wey a verry good modeling

Their is alot to play around with, and increasing the sky light I have tried. I was using Brad Easterday's render/luminance settings and tweaked them slightly - Mainly adding "Eye" to the luminance to create a "Photo Flash" effect to highlight the dark regions of the model. "Eye" is useful because it adds a light shining back from the camera position
I was also using the bedroom brochure shots to reference the overall brightness and to show detail. http://www.embracebedrooms.com/ranges/contemporary/erin-and-zara

The shadows "splats" could be better.  Its the time factor as well, an hour - hour and a half I think is enough to have to wait for these.

Increased the Quality from 10 to 50, reduced the Shadow factor to 0.02 also, and improved the dark walnut texture.

I've spent a little time becoming more familiar with the effects of each of the "Lighting Components". I've collected several example renders and hope to post them with some explanations soon. I just need to finish replacing the engine in our family vehicle first. ::) The silly thing left my family stranded on the freeway a few weeks back. Somehow my wife didn't see riding home in a tow truck as getting to experience something new. :)

I know the feeling Brad. My antique just quit on me. Blown head gasket. 1988 Toyota Supra. Was gonna replace the gasket & get back on the road, but it has 170k miles, so I have decided to by a gas saver to drive around & restore the Supra. I am gonna drop in a new engine & have the tranny rebuilt, & some new paint. All at a snails pace.  :)
