First attempt at 3D

So while playing around over the past few days I started my 3D attempt.  Wondering what might be causing lines to show up through items like the chair.  When I turn on the 2 walls that are not showing I get lines through the right one from the desk in the corner.  The items were brought in from 3D warehouse. What do people use for carpet on the floors for a better look.

The lines showing up in your render could be from having "Nonrenderable objects" enabled in your Camera Properties. Any extra edges in the SketchUp models will show up this way. To disable Nonrenderable objects uncheck it's option in the Camera Properties window. See attached image.

Yours looks pretty good, IMO. Many users create their own material. Let us know what TCad version you're using and I'll post a drawing that contains a few examples that you can use as-is or modify to suit your own requiremants.

Here ya go. Open the attached .tcw file and you'll own the materials shown in the attached image. There are a zillion more possibilities.
