Very nicely done, except for one point.  At first, I thought the top light was too bright, but the table top is well lit, so it seems the metallic materials you are using are too reflective.

Fantastic model! It took me a moment to notice, but are the cables made from a nylon material like a classical guitar string would be? I like the cube version, very interesting.

Thanks Henry & Brad. Coming from a couple of TC Rendering Geniouses like you two is one hell of a compliment. I have been so preoccupied at work with my cnc &stuff that I have not done any artistic rendering in a while. I think I my creativity is a bit rusty. Once again, thanks guys.

Changed the ball material to "Mirror" Looks alot better.

Another render utilizing the "Advanced Render Settings" with a Depth of Field post processor. Question for one of the rendering gurus here on the forum, how to get "soft" shadows with the Advanced settings. I guess I am bored tonight, while watching UFC 111. :-)

And what light do you use?
Try luminance - Sky or a combination of the sun

... how to get "soft" shadows with the Advanced settings.

Someplace in your Options menu there oughta be a dialog called "Lightworks." Mine has only one control in it -- Rendering Style Options -- which in turn offers nothing except the means to turn  "Transparency shadow" ON or OFF. Turn it OFF.

Shadows in the attached example are cast by a single standard Spotlight, with Resolution = 1000, Quality = 10, and Softness = 4. Rendered in a variation of Final Gather\Ambient Occlusion.

Hello Hammer. The woodgrain are the built in TC materials, Wood Floor||Oak Squares. What I did was use the same as the texture & matched all of the paramaters between the two.

Well I do not have the AnimationLab Plug-in, I may import into another app & try. I will get back to you on that.

Nicely done. How much time did AniLab take to render this?

Thanks Brad. AniLab took less than 6 minutes to render this animation. It is very simple & looks a bit "robotic". I need to tweak the speed at which the balls travel. On their way up they should be decelerating to a stop & then accelerating back towards the stationary balls. Working on this right now.

Love the animation very cool!
