Am I going bananas or is there no way to select splines of any type using the Ctrl+T function?

You're right, there's nothing there except "Curve" which selects both Splines and Beziers. Nothing has changed in 2019.

Since you have Platinum, use "Ctrl+Q" to access the "Query" dialog. 'Object type'='Spline' will find all the splines. 'Object type'='Bezier' will find Beziers.
