Turbocad shuts down without warning

We use TC ProPlatinum 2017. Recently the program just shuts off completely without any kind of warning. I will be working on a architectural drawing and then suddenly, everything is gone. The program shuts off completely, but the computer and screen are still operating. Yesterday it happened two times in a row about 15 minutes apart from each event. We ran a malware program to see if that was the problem. The malware search program found nothing.
What could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How long is a tunnel ;) In this case the answer is easy, it's double of the half length.

It's not easy to say, you draw something and TC shut down (crash)
So you did something TC dont like at all, whatever that was.

Before you start up that drawing again i would recomend that you check for dwl's, they can make it "funny" if they are left
Go to the place you save your drawing and look for filename.tcw.dwl, if there is, delete them and then start TC and open the file again, think a bit if you did something special just before it crash and avoid that.

If it not save the last work you did on it, you can try to open Autosave folder and look for a .asv file for that day and time, or a crush file .crh i belive.
You also have a backup file in the Backup folder  .bak
When you find the file that is closest to the crash, open it as a regular drawing and resave as i. e. filename_2.tcw in the original folder for that drawing.

If Torfinns method doesn't work.
You can try starting a new clean drawing and use the file, extract from tool to import the work -
sometimes that  clears corrupt elements in the drawing file.

I have yet to encounter a TurboCAD crash that causes the program to disappear without so much as a popup (that is what you meant by "without any kind of warning", right?).

Can you remember which functions were active when these program disappearances happen?

Another way to remove bad elements in a drawing file is to change to Wireframe mode and make all layers that you want to keep visible.  Select All, Copy and open a new TC file where you can Paste the layered data in the new file.  Save As and compare file sizes (I often see a major difference).

If you want to see it
Try to Select a Construction line with Edit tool, Select the 3 nodes and then try to delete one of them in 2019.
Pow, like magic TC is gone :)
