Hi All,
Been a while, but I'm back for help!
Recently decided to upgrade from 2017 Expert to 2018 Expert.
Have had a read of the adrianh78 thread here and encountered similar problems/criticisms of 2018.
For me, they range from very slightly annoying through to 'why did I pay for this?' annoying.
Slightly annoying is the constant splash page everytime I start 2018 offering me an upgrade to Platinum for so many dollars. I keep clicking the 'do not show this again' box and it keeps on showing it to me. Not the end of the world, but may be an indication that it's on the way.

Very annoying problem is that Walls don't seem to work properly anymore.
I can insert Turbocad's standard doors and windows into walls and they are fine, but my own opening blocks? It's a mess.
Initially the block gets inserted and there's no problem. Everything looks fine.
But once you come out of the program and then open the drawing file back up, while the block is there it hasn't cut a hole in the wall. When rendering, the block disappears from view, obscured by the wall itself.
I can examine properties of the block and this can make the block form an opening again, but for some reason this sometimes appears to be offset by an arbitrary amount, so basically, in wireframe you can see the block and you can see the opening, they just aren't in the same place.
You come out of the program, and re-open the drawing file and the block is there, but again it hasn't cut a hole in the wall.
Nothing wrong with the actual block, as far as I can see (everything on layer 0 and the Reference point in the correct place)
For a current project I have now replaced affected walls with extrusions and cut holes for the blocks manually. Time consuming!
I do like Lightworks though! (But this seems to be all I have paid extra for!)
Similar to adrianh78 I am very disappointed we have lost the 3d selector thing from 2017.
2018 is very unclear when selecting an object to move or rotate it.
I see you have to buy a plug-in to get this back. I thought upgrades were supposed to be improvements?
Another strange loss seems to be that 2D Bolean operations, whilst still listed in the menu, don't seem to function at all. I can select a 2d Bolean operation, but when I select and object it is just..... selected. No operation occurs or prompts made for selection of another object.
Oh, I do like the infinite construction lines, much more like the old AutoCad lines, though I had go used to editing construction lines in 2017 to make the longer when needed, so I have to unlearn that step now.
Anyway, I have tried reinstalling the software, turning off Norton while doing so, and running software as administrator, but nothing has giving proper functionality back for walls and 2d bolean.
I even uninstalled previous versions of turbocad and reinstalled 2018, but that didn't work either.
Tried 32 bit version, but that had problems starting at first because of a dodgy DLL file, but manged to get that sorted and found the same issues existed with regard to the Walls.
So, while quite pleased with the appearance offered by lightworks, I'm disappointed that it wasn't clear that the selector thingy was going to go awol with this upgrade and very cheesed off that walls aren't working properly.
Had to reinstall 2017 as I cannot trust that older drawings using walls and blocks to form openings can now be edited in 2018 version, so that further complicates things.
Can't see anyone else having similar issues with walls and blocks so I guess it may be something to do with my computer..... I don't know. I try to keep it running smoothly and have software to track and solve problems, and no other software has any issues.
Running Windows 10 64bit Home on

Thoughts?
