Adding sound to TurboCAD animations can be a bit hit and miss, as the help file
is limited in this respect. So, using trivial examples, here are a few pointers
which might help.
Adding sound, using AnimationLab, is achieved using the
Key Frames Editor only.
1. A sound file, in .WAV format, is attached to a keyframe of an actor, using
Key Frame Properties (double-click on a keyframe to open, select Ctrl+F or left-
click on Switch to Scenario Script Editor Mode button, and hold).
2. The actor may be stationary, moving or invisible.
DO NOT use the Key Frames
Editor in combination with the Scenario Script Editor Commands (for the same
actor), except as mentioned below.
Example 1
Open the file Disco.tcw (attached).
Original file from TurboCAD(2018) Samples folder (DiscoDistance.TCW).
Create an actor from one of the drawing's objects, the mirror wall for instance.
Select this actor and create a key frame, at frame 0 (zero).
Select key frame 0, then select Key Frame Properties/Sound Source/Wave File:
Disco.wav (attached). Remove '.txt' before use.
NOTE: also create key frames, at frame 0 (only), for
ALL other actors.
Run Scenario in wireframe first, to check that all is well. To render like the
original, use Advanced Rendering\Final Gather\Ambient occlusion, with Render
Style set to Blue 1 klux.
