I wish that IMSI would produce some test software similar to what the other publishers (SolidWorks, Catia, AutoCAD, etc.) do so that people can evaluate hardware performance such as is done here (https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3399-best-workstation-gpus-2018-for-adobe-premiere-autocad-vray-and-more) and elsewhere.

The SPECapc group provides specific software tuned towards a given CAD software package, such as SolidWorks (https://www.spec.org/gwpg/apc.static/sw2017info.html).

SPECviewperf is widely used to evaluate performance, but note that version 13 requires Windows 10; version 12 uses Windows 7.  I would hope that, if IMSI does allocate resources for this project, they remember that a large portion of their user base is not using Windows 10.

Imo I think this would be a great idea too, but for a slightly different reason: from the end users point of view this would be a big boost for consistent Turbocad operations when rendering and knowing that a predefined hardware & software package would produce tested and reliable results.
