Snap Point popup menu: turn on/off

I tried searching on this but I don't even know what to call it...
I'm using TC 2018 Deluxe.
There's a popup menu that appears when I click on a snap point:

What do you call it, and how can I turn it on or off? I would just like to use the snap point, not have to select a particular or no entity's snap point.
Thanks!

Ah, yes, Torfinn, that's the spot! Unchecked, no menu. Just what I wanted. Thanks!

There's also a tool for this within the "Options" Commands. Look for "Use Choice while Selection". You could set up a Hotkey assignment in the Keyboard page to turn this On/Off. I stuck the tool on the end of the Standard toolbar.

Maybe, maybe not.  If objects are close enough, you may not be able to select the object you actually want.  Better to make in informed choice.  Also, the objects are listed in the order they were created (unless you have been re-formatting them towards the front or back).
