I've had numerous crashes in both 2106 and 2017 and at first I thought it was just me as most of my files are large in size. Sure that in itself is not fundamental reason that tcw 2016 or 2017 platinum should crash at all and I've updated my drivers to the most recent versions available.
What has changed I think is what Mike90RR had discovered and I've now setup, thats installing the 32bit version of tcw2017 platinum and all crashes have now stopped completely, since installing the 32bit version of worked for 5 days straight with no crashes whatsoever and it now appears stable. FWIW, I did have the tcw2016 32bit and 64 bit versions installed together but I still got regular crashes with no ideas as to why. Mostly happening when closing the file and sometimes when working on layer filter changes etc.
To sum up tcw2017 with the 64bit and 32bit installed on the same pc now appears stable, whereas tcw2016 64bit and 32bit installed on the same pc still crash. To clarify I have both 2016 & 2017 32bit and 64bit programs installed on the same pc.
