Hi,

I have just refreshed my PC (to resolve a problem) is there any way that I ca load my lightworks plug-in without having to load TC ver 2015?

Kind regards

Martin

Sorry - not understanding what you mean, Refreshed in what way,  as you know the Lightworks plug-in installs on top of 2015, so as far as I know 2015 has to be installed first (I don't have Lightworks in 2015/2016),  if you have done some sort of rollback which has left 2015 but removed Lightworks, you should be able to just install Lightworks again (using a compatible build - see update and patches section of the forum).

If you had decided to go back to v21, its already got Lightworks built in.

If you had upgraded to v2016 - just install the compatible Lightworks build, (from the 2016 sticky post in update and patches)

There are two different versions of LightWorks for TurboCAD versions 2015 and 2016 (and 32- & 64-bit versions of each).

If TurboCAD 2016 is installed, then you only have to determine which TurboCAD version is installed and install the appropriate LightWorks version (if both, then install both).

Hi Jeff,

Apologies for the long delay in answering but I decided to delay the rebuild of the computer until I upgraded to Win10, which I have now done.  Because of a number of legacy issues I have refreshed my computer which means I need to reinstall all my software, primarily to give Win10 a clean start.

I purchased the lightworks plugin for TCW version 2015, at the time I was assured by IMSI that this was a once off purchase and I would have the lightworks plugin for life.

How do I get the 2016 version please?

I realise that I could reinstall version 2015 (validated by version 2014!) etc.  But I would prefer to know how to use a version of lightworks that worked with my current version of TC.

Fortunately the current work I am engaged on relies on drawings for manufacture and therefore rendering is currently of secondary importance, but this will change drastically for the next stage of the job where much more marketing will be involved and rendered drawings become more important.

Kindest regards

Martin

It seems that the Lightworks Plug-ins-- both 32-bit and 64-bit-- are available via the links on the Updates and Patches Forum Board, here.

Hi Alvin,

I should have thought this through a bit more.  I totally forgot about the Updates and Patches board!

I have now downloaded the patch and loaded it into ver 2016 and it all works fine.

Quite a relief really as I was going round in circles loading previous versions etc etc.

Thanks again and a happy New Year to everyone.

Kind regards

Martin
