Any limitation on Library files to be referenced?

Dear All
Please kindly help.
I am looking for the best/suitable approach for storing files for library.

Just wonder, is there any limitations on Library feature? Especially on the number of files can be included in the library palette?
If I have many objects, in hierarchical structure, wish to stored as parts for others' reference, what is the best approach to store this files? (folders and files) also in hierarchical structure?
More over, if I need a working space to work on each part/symbol, and wish to keep that detail, final object for other people should be saved separately for external reference, right? If this is the case, I should also save this working space separate from reference folders, right?

Thanks in advance.
Best Regards
Simon
