I took the day off and did this for fun. It is based on a SoildWorks tutorial from a book I purchased back in 2011. Just though I would see how it worked out in TC 2016. Rendering TC 2016 with LightWorks.

Everything you present looks great, Don, this is too.  Was it a Matt Lombard book?   I used to model the occasional "challenge" project that he used to pose on his old dezignstuff SW blog before he moved on to SE.

The level of detail and realism in your 'just for fun' works are always amazing. I wonder what some of your 'pain in the ass' work looks like. I did a couple of your tutorials, kitchen and gear reducer, and those were tough for me even with your step by step instructions. Doing the exercises were challenging enough, trying to remember all the lessons learned and applying to my own work is the hardest part.

Eye light gives it refinement along with the  brilliance, radiance of black color makes its appealing. Nicely rendition.
