Smooth curved solid becomes faceted after 3D Add

In the attached drawing, 3D Adding the red Box to the smoothly-curved section of the Part causes that section to become faceted.

Adjusting ACIS Quality setting doesn't change the result.  Will anything else?

It is not faceting the curve but just giving it a few approximation lines. Have a look at it without Degenerative Faceting. It is still smooth...

Even in TCV20 this happens...
