Anyone ever seen or made plans for a bed with storage?
Imagine a bed with a bookcase and fold down table for writing.

No, I have not, but it sounds like a great project.

Sounds good.
You could make it a four poster with a TV and surround sound.

This bedroom/sitting room had to accommodate all personal possessions including a lot of books and still be an elegant space to live in.  Although the dimensions are accurate, the drawing is obviously only schematic.  A creative carpenter detailed and built the bed/storage unit, affectionately referred to as the 'elephant'.  I hear the project is a great success.  She says she has never fallen out of any bed.  This is not quite 'gallery' material but it might nudge you to get going.
