My First Model

This evening just for fun, I revisited the first 3D model I ever did in a CAD program. No materials back in 2002 with TurboCAD V8 Standard, so added some with TurboCAD Pro V21. It has been quite a trip from these first steps to working now as a full-time new product development engineer. Makes me smile when I look back at the journey. I hope that you all feel much joy when you reflect back on your own journey.

That's great Don. It's always fun to look back at the earlier times.

Pretty ambitious project for the first model, Don. Turned out great.

Very nice model Don.

You started with the same version I did, the lack of any materials back in those days is what made me switch to pro.

That was quite an ambitious first model Don. It was well done as all of your projects are. I have been working off and on (just for fun) a covered wagon. I have been having trouble with finding any info on the dimensions of the undercarriage. I live within a couple of miles of the Oregon Trail & Pony Express Trail and I am sure if I went to the Pony Express Museum in Marysville Ks. I could get measurements, but just have not done it.  It is hard to believe all of the things they could haul in those wagons. Isn't  it fun to reminisce about the things we have done in the past.
