Very nice job on the lamp Henry. That is a terrific flame coming off the wick.
Is the lamp mostly lofted objects?
Better pay heed to Andy's comment - you know how genie has been sneaking around your place these days.
Thanks, Don. This was a fun project. (I probably would have abandoned it, otherwise.)
The "body" of the lamp and the "pedestal" are lofts. The handle and the trim pieces are Rail Sweeps. Chain was created as a Pattern on Curve, using a pair of Rail Sweeps as the source graphic.
Flame is a Spin, exploded and rescaled somewhat. Pattern is "Wrapped filtered image," using a custom-made Gradient created in Paint Shop Pro to achieve the graduated color. Reflectance is "Plastic," with a very high Ambient factor. Transparency is "Glow"; Wrapping is "Cylindrical." I assigned a Luminance to it, also.
