Title: Viewports and Scaling
Post by: Mgraw on September 15, 2009, 12:26:21 AM
As a complete beginner could somebody please guide me as to how I obtain a scaled view on paper space.
At the moment what I do is;
1 - Create a view in model space
2 - Go to paper space and insert a viewport
3 - Size the viewport as required by drawing the marquee
4 - Insert the named veiw.
However what this is doing is putting the named view in to the viewport, which bears no relation to scale.
I would like to do a paper space view od say 1:100

Thanks

re: Viewport Scale

Select the Viewport
go to Properties — Viewport page
In the Scale section, checkmark "Fixed"
In the Scale field, if "1:100" isn't available, type it in over the current value.
OK back to the drawing

the end :)

John R, many thanks for your advice, which of course worked a treat.

Thanks again.
