Title: Simple Extrude
Post by: triplex on August 04, 2009, 06:50:39 PM
Why is it every time that I do a simple extrude of a close poly - the one side is left "open" ?

That shouldn't happen. Can you post a file in which it does?

Can't tell what caused the problem, because the drawing does not include the profile you extruded. But the object can be "solidified" by selecting it and going to Format|Create Solid|From Surface.

Too many nodes. You may have gone too far when creating the polyline. Use "Close" before you get to the end. You had the Start and Finish in the same place (as it should be), but there was also a third node in the same place that caused the hiccup. Once that was moved (deleted), the 3D object filled in.
