Title: Seasprite
Post by: Don Ritchie on February 16, 2011, 11:19:02 AM
Finally, after Genie pulled nearly every dirty trick in her wide array, TC came through much better than
expected on this project. The renders are Raytrace full, ACIS quality faceter, and take just over 2
minutes each. File size is 14+ MB, including all the 2D profiles, etc., etc.

For those interested, you'll find good summary info on the Seasprite helicopter at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seasprite

Criticisms and/or suggestions will be welcomed.

Very nice job on this Don.

Was the main body done by lofting profiles?

Thanks guys.

WD: Yes, everything, start to finish, was done with TC.

Don C: A single loft, 18 closed spline profiles, did the entire fusilage from nose to just shy of the tail. Two more lofts, each with just a few profiles, did the tail assembly.

Nice, very nice. (I don't reckon it was Genie doing the dirty tricks)
