Title: QTVR movie
Post by: Julian Thomas on February 02, 2011, 01:38:36 PM
First successful test with AL5's QTVR output. Had to severely reduce resolution & frame quantity to make small enough for upload here. Make sure you open in QuickTime.

Will that work as a rotatable 3D model in QuickTime?

WD, it does rotate in any player, but that isn't the issue. QTVR is an interactive format where you can click on the object and free-rotate it in any direction with your mouse (similar to a 3D PDF).

I see your point and it does at my end have the interactive format in Quick Time. But it will not rotate in QuickTime as rotating object in continuous motion.

It work OK for me. You need to place your cursor near the edge and hold the Left-Click when a straight or curved arrow appears. The object will rotate continuously around the equator, but will stop if going toward the N/S "poles".
