Title: Objects Missing
Post by: EnvCons on May 21, 2018, 08:32:09 AM
I received a DWG file which is a survey with a hundred plus trees and other information.  When I opened I only saw about 9 trees (which I recognized as being added later).  On the phone with the engineer he sees all the trees - I don't and I can't select any of the missing ones when I try to select in the area where they should be.   I also selected "by layer" and only the 9 showed up.

Is this a workplane issue possibly?  I selected all and then selected place on workplane but that did not seem to work.

I also opened using "run as administrator" and did not help.  The engineer saved it as 2010 version and resent but no help there either.

Any suggestions?

Download/ install the free Autocad True Viewer and then see if all the tree's are there at all.

They are there. Can't figure out why they don't show up.  Engineer thinks it may have to do with the surveyors and their use of "cogo points" and how they were inputed.  In any case, he exploded them and resent the file and now I see them all.
