Title: Rube Goldberg style
Post by: Andy H on August 01, 2014, 07:30:03 PM
Haven't been any animations posted for a while, and I've no idea if this link will work as I've never uploaded to YouTube before.

It started out as just a few experiments after watching Mythbusters Christmas special, but it slowly grew and grew, its only low resolution (854x480) so not suitable for full screen, this is due to it already taking around 20 hours to render, (estimated 1280x720 would take around 50 hours), may upload a better quality sometime.

Hope the link works ......

The link works and it was better at full screen (second time 'round). That looks like it took an immense amount of pre-planning. Great animation.

Andy,

words fail me!   8)

Brilliant . . . . and, shows what can be done with more than a little dedication and perseverance.

What, may I ask, are you going to do next?

Excellent work here Andy.

Really shows what your patience, skill and Ani-lab can do!

Many thanks for your kind comments,   the pre-planning was really not as good as it should have been, it was mainly drawing and testing each part in separate files, and then trying to figure out a way to join them all together.

Tim - Heath Robinson is more widely known in the UK than Rube Goldberg, so thinking of something along his style

Thanks again ..... Andy
