Opinions on Furniture Maker V10?

I'm looking for opinions on Furniture Maker V10. I currently have V5 and I'm considering an upgrade. I would be using the plugin more for visuals than actual design work. Thanks in advance.

Brad

It doesn't say whether it works with TC19 on IMSI's website?

"System Requirements

TurboCAD Furniture Maker version 10 requires TurboCAD Deluxe, Pro, or Pro Platinum version 18."

I know, the website doesn't seem to provide much helpful info about the product. It wouldn't bother me to use it with TC v18. I would just like to feel like it's worth an upgrade. I'm not even sure if I can upgrade from a previous version.

I do not think there is upgrade pricing. However, occasionally there seems to be a special.

FM10 is a lot better than previous versions -- it still needs a lot of work but it has a lot of features that could be useful to you.

The documentation still sucks -- that's life. Some of the movies are almost understandable now. ;-)

Milan did make up some labels so I can work with metric system 32 and print labels. It had not occurred to them to make the printouts sizable to Imperial or metric sizes. Check the previous threads as the download still works if you do system 32.

I just got back to work on my cabinetry -- I was away for a few months -- so I will try to get organized again...

I suspect it might work with the 32 bit version -- but I do not know.

Brad:

Assuming that you are really familiar with TC....

I went back and watched all the FM10 movies...

My assessment is that if you get TC10 and watch every movie -- several times -- the ones with voice-overs... And you watch till you catch all the quick little movements and assumptions never stated -- then you will find it very helpful.

I think there is enough fixed up that it would really be useful.

The manual is a mess still -- and mostly not useful as a reference.

If I knew that it worked with TC 19 I would re-install to get any benefits.
