"Cannot Make Face to Face Lofting
ACIS message: Surface U and V are in the same or opposite direction."

I'm getting this on Face-to-fact lofts that appear to be VERY simple.

Annoying, isn't it :-(

I can usually work around that by re-creating one of the "faces," using a newly-established Workplane in the plane of that face. If the workaround fails, the next step is to create yet another WP in the same plane but with its Z axis pointing in the opposite direction.

What exactly do you do?

Thanks

Depends on the object. Usually I establish a Workplane by 3 Points on the face; make a Section by Workplane of the object; trace the section with a Polyline or Spline; then (if I remember correctly) extrude it just a tad or use Format|Create Surface|From Profile.
