Loft not Following Path

In the attached figure, I have a spline forming the outline of the upper part of a ship hull. This is a closed path. I have lofted this path (black).

You can see that the loft deviates significantly (by 15%).

How can I get the loft to follow the path being lofted more closely?

Sometimes it just can't be done, Jim, if the shape changes too drasically in one or more places. But if this isn't the case in your drawing, then try "Custom" Faceter Mode, adjusting only the Surface Tolerance parameter. For starters, try setting this to maybe one-tenth of the deviation you now see between the spline and the loft.
