You are quite right that it's a bit busy, but it sort of evolved.
To start with I was just messing around with bump maps and created a tile. Needed to find a use for the tile so I redesigned my shower room using bump mapped textures wherever possible.
The tiles, the carpet, the blind, the window glass, and even the loo paper were textured using bump maps.
I think it's safe to say that I have got the hang of producing and using bump map images.
I use Photoscape a lot for this as it has a lot of options for producing grayscale images, adding noise etc.
The skeleton was a bit of an accident, I was looking for a person model to show scale in the picture but hey it adds a bit of humour.
The fish on the window sill was also a 3DS model.
Also got lazy with the toilet and used a 3DS model for that too. Both of these were modified to suit.
