Hello – I'm a new guy on the block, a total novice with TurboCad.
We build fantastic furniture in exotic woods and shapes. We are good, period!
Up until now I have used the good old drafting table. Time consuming and all.
I got the idea to try TurboCad. So, here is the question.
Is it worth the trouble or should I stay with the paper and pencil / eraser?

Comments please

Do you have a web site where we can see the type of work you do? TC is a good product for woodworkers, but if what you are creating is, say extremely organic in shape, then maybe not what you need.

Awesome work Stig and a wonderful shop. TurboCAD will work well for you, of that I am sure. There is a definite learning curve to the program but once you start to get the hang of it you should be able to create all your required shop drawings and rendered works.

Have you tried the "profile" button at the top of this page?  Or was that too obvious.  :)

Don's right: TCad handles stuff like that very well. It offers the further advantage of being able to produce a photorealistic rendering of a design that has not yet been built. Great way to make presentations/proposals.

Yes you are right, i am trying to insert the avatar photo.
I did go to the profile button but can't find where to click in order to upload the picture. All I see is a red X that doesn't react when i click on it.
What am I doing wrong?
Stig.

To the left of your Profile, click on "Forum Profile Information".
Select "I will upload my own picture",
then Browse for the file.
Finally, go to the bottom of the page and click on "Change Profile".

Hello all.
I have tried repeatedly to insert the picture of my cute little dog as my profile picture.
I am following all instructions but in the end a message comes up saying that the website does not exist.
Help.
Stig.

There may be a size limitation. I believe the image you posted of your pooch was very large (it wouldn't fit on my large screens) and they're probably looking for something in the 32×32 to 64×64 pixel range.

re: website does not exist
Are you specifying an image at a Website or loading an image?
There are two different places for images.
